My F-350
I have a 2004 Ford F-350 King Ranch with the 6.0L diesel. I love this truck. I have 100,000 miles on it, it still has tons of power and I have only had to replace the oil pressure sensor and alternator.
It hauls my horse trailer and the flatbed like a dream, but someday I want to put 4.30 gears in it so the turbo has better response on these Colorado hills. I’ve added a pyrometer and boost guage so I can keep EGTs in line when I’m hauling.
I’ve added a wireless camera to the back of the horse trailer, with the monitor mounted to the dash so I can keep tabs on the horses while I’m on the road. Also added train horns and replaced a bunch of the truck’s lights with LEDs so people stay out of the way.

I put Goodyear Wrangler MT/R kevlar tires on it, stock size. I preferred the less agressive tread of the DuraTrac, but those tires have ridiculously thin sidewalls. I drove on those for about a week and hated it. The truck swayed all over the road like all the tires were flat (and it’s a dually!). So I replaced them with the MT/Rs. They are a bit louder but they look awesome and get me through the crappy clay-mud we have here.

Nice. What kind of use does that trailer get? Horse shows?
My wife and I are finishing degrees while working full time, so it pretty much just hauls the horses to the vet. It used to haul to horse shows and rodeos. In the future, it will probably be getting more duty. I have to get my gray paint Shady started first.
I grew up with my mom having horses while she was showing them. I guess after moving out and going to college I didnt realize how much I really liked going to the shows…
